NOTICE OF HEARING
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, October 15, 2024, a public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider a request by the Salt Lake City Mosquito Abatement District to increase property taxes. In keeping with Utah State Code 17B-1-1001 through -1003, the Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees will report to the appointing Legislative Body regarding their intent to levy a tax rate that exceeds the certified tax rate, resulting in a property tax increase to Salt Lake City residents in 2025. The Board of Trustees will make the report to the Legislative Body during the City Council Work Session Meeting prior to the hearing. The Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees will hold an additional public hearing on December 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the district facilities located at 2215 N 2200 W, SLC, UT 84116. All interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while also providing an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City Hall, located at 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.
